A Twist for Your New Year's Resolutions
It's 12/12 (as I write this) and that got me thinking about the significance of the number! As an angel number, 12:12 is an indication that you are at a point in your life where you are ready to step out of your comfort zone and enter into those goals you've been putting off!
So, in honor of those goals and the new year that is fast approaching, I thought it would be fun to put a little twist on the traditional New Year's resolutions.
We've all been there, January 1st with a long list of all the things we want to do or change in the upcoming year. It goes great for a few weeks and then, like they say, old habits die hard and the goals you set just weeks ago are squashed just as quick as they came!
So this year, instead of setting generic goals that may fizzle out by February, let's try something new and focus on sustainable and mindful growth, embracing a journey that nurtures our well-being and brings lasting positive change. Here are some ways to help you accomplish that:
Reflect on the Past Year: Before diving into new resolutions, take a moment to reflect on the past year. What were the highlights and challenges? What did you learn about yourself? This reflection can serve as a valuable foundation for creating resolutions that align with your journey and the growth you want to see.
Focus on Personal Growth, Not Just Achievements : Shifting your focus from external achievements to personal growth is a powerful shift to traditional resolutions. Consider goals that contribute to your self-awareness and overall fulfillment. The journey of personal growth is ongoing and rewards you with a deeper sense of accomplishment.
Shift from Resolutions to Intentions: Rather than setting rigid resolutions, consider framing them as intentions. Intentions are flexible, allowing room for growth and adaptation rather than being so black and white. Think about the themes you want to see in the coming year and focus on the actions that will cultivate those kind of settings.
Embrace Small, Sustainable Changes: Instead of aiming for radical transformations, focus on making small, sustainable changes. These could be daily habits that contribute to your overall well-being. From adding in mindful practices to simple daily habits, these incremental changes can lead to life changing results over time.
