Opening Detox Pathways

Since starting my cleansing/detox journey to help heal my body naturally, this is the question that I get the MOST! While I am not a practitioner, and this is NOT medical advice, I do know the extreme importance of this step and want to share a break down of how to support your body in making sure your detox pathways are open before you start any type of heavy metal or parasite cleanse! I have done hours upon hours of research and have implemented these practices not only before a cleanse but EVERY DAY.

Detox pathways are also known as drainage pathways and these drainage pathways are one of our most powerful tools in keeping the body in an optimal state. When our body isn’t properly draining or is on overload, that is when we can become unwell, develop dis-ease and cancers.

Again, drainage should come FIRST before you do any kind of detox or cleanse. Imagine in your home that you fill up your trash can and continue to stack garbage on top of garbage. It will become stinky, moldy and very unpleasant really fast. Making sure our drainage pathways are open is very similr to this. You need to take the “trash” for your body to function properly.

Here is a little visual of our different drainage pathways. We are going to work from the bottom up and no one section can be skipped. I have been doing these methods for over 2 years now and I am now healthier than i’ve been in my adult life, my blood work and my epigenetic test results are also the best they have ever been in my adult life.

Before you dive in below and get overwhelmed I just want to stress that you don’t need to be doing every single one of these things every day. Slowly implement a few of these practices in each category and not only will that help you with cleansing, it will help your body to be better supported in daily detoxing!

Colon Support:

-Castor Oil Packs (use code JALYNN15): I do these 4-6 times per week - wearing them overnight

-Fermented Foods

-Staying hydrated with electrolytes/minerals (staying hydrated with just water is very difficult) - my favorite electrolyte options are Redmond Relyte (use code JALYNN15) and Just Ingredients (use code JALYNN)

-Extra Fiber in your diet (I add this one to my protein shakes - it’s amazing and so many extra benefits)

-Probiotics (my favorite here)

-Magnesium at bedtime

-Exercise - move your body! I love to take a quick walk after I eat a meal

-Happy Juice - this has SO MANY benefits that will help with gut health which is tied to every system in our body! Liver and Bile Duct Support:

Lymphatic Support:

-Sauna

-Good quality sleep (aim for 7-9 hours)

-Avoid inflammatory foods (processed foods, refined carbs, deep fried foods, sugar, alcohol)

-Get daily sunshine

-Cold pluge, Hydrotherapy, Cryotherapy

My Favorite Cleanses:

Rogers Hood 30 day Parasite and Heavy Metal Detox (use code JALYNN): this is a more gentle cleanse that is great for someone wanting to start small and easy. There are some diet recommendations that go along with it on the website and I highly recommend following those for best results. The more closely you stick to the diet, the more you will get out. This one goes very deep and it’s the most effective cleanse I’ve ever done. I truly believe this cleanse has changed my entire life. So much of my inflamation, gallstones and back pain subsided after my second ten day cleanse. Daily Heavy Metal & Detox Pack: We do this with my family ON THE DAILY. It’s a very simple, gentle and effective way to stay proactive with the heavy metals and toxins we are exposed to daily (no matter how much we try to avoid them). When we go out of the country especially third world countries we double up on this and we are usually the only ones who walk away without tummy issues! It’s GREAT!
