Find Your Springtime Glow

The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and the flowers are starting to add some color to the world! It's officially Spring and I don't know about you, but I have felt a major energy shift.

Spring is a time of transition and transformation. The days grow longer, the air becomes warmer, and there's an overall optimistic energy in the atmosphere. Here's the best part: this transformation isn't confined to just nature; it also impacts us on a psychological level!

So, how can you take advantage of this springtime magic and use it to give yourself a good boost of positivity? Here are some of my favorite ways👇👇👇

Add some sunshine to your life: Don't let the warm weather and sunshine go to waste! Get outside and enjoy it! Aside from being a nice change from the winter gloom, there are physical benefits to getting some sunshine on you! Increased exposure to sunlight triggers the release of serotonin, which impacts your mood and boosts your overall sense of well-being. It is also the main source of vitamin D, which is essential for maintaining strong bones, supporting your immune system, and promoting overall good health!

Connect with Others: Spring is a popular time for social gatherings and celebrations. From weddings, to graduations, birthdays, and vacations..there are ample opportunities to connect with friends and family!  Spending time with the people you love and that make you happy is essential for your mental health.

Get Outside: We already talked about the benefits of sunshine, but there are also benefits from just being outside in nature! When you choose to be outside while the earth is blooming, you are surrounded by energy of growth and rejuvenation. Being in that environment helps ground you and encourages a positive refresh of your mental and physical energy.

Let Stuff Go: From old clothes, to toys, to make up, and papers…spring is the perfect time to purge your home. Just like the trees do it, out with the old and in with the new! Keeping your space free of clutter and only filled with things that bring you joy will significantly impact your mental health in a positive way.
