WELCOME TO YOUR HOW-TO SKINCARE GUIDE
CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW SKINCARE! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THROUGH THIS AS YOU ARE STARTING YOUR NEW OLIVE TREE PEOPLE SKINCARE ROUTINE.
1. PURGING
It's totally normal to go through a purging phase! It can last 2-6 weeks. I suggest slowly implementing your new products one at a time. If you experience a bad breakout, STOP using all products, and once your skin heals, slowly bring back one product at a time. I PROMISE the adjustment period is worth it! Make sure you're not overusing your products. You only need a few drops!
2. VITAMIN C + RETINOLS
DO NOT MIX THESE TWO PRODUCTS!
Make sure you are not using VITAMIN C + RETINOLS on the same day. When implementing a retinol, I suggest starting with 1x a week, and then slowly increasing to 2-3x a week. ONLY USE RETINOLS AT NIGHT. I suggest alternating days - Vitamin C in the am + Retinol the next evening. MAKE SURE YOU LET YOUR VITAMIN C SOAK INTO THE SKIN for at least 10 minutes before applying your next layer!
3. MAKE SURE YOU ARE EXFOLIATING
If you are experiencing more dry/flakey skin as you have started using these new products - that is a sign that your skin is adjusting, AND that you need a good exfoliant to sluff off the excess skin. Everyone should use an exfoliant 1-2 times per week!
Exfoliants I suggest: F76, F81, F10
4. OTHER IMPORTANT TIPS
-Use retinols at night
-Use vitamin C in the AM and let sit before next layer
-Double cleanse before putting on a face mask
-Use only one Vitamin A product (F65 Midnight Elixir, F82 Green Retinol, F87 Kahai Elixir, 004 LA DOPE your Wrinkles Oil Serum)
-Don't use F81 AHA daily
-Use F85 Acne SOS in the PM
-Refrigerate internals after opening
5. HOW TO LAYER YOUR SKINCARE PRODUCTS
For best results, follow the layering tips below!
6. TAKE BEFORE PHOTOS
I highly suggest to take before photos! It's sometimes really hard to see the small changes until you compare you photos side by side! That's where I really noticed the changes!
For best results, stand in front of a window with natural light. Try to take the after photos around the same time so the lighting is the same!
